Western Hills HS AFJROTC Cadets Advance to Nationals

AFROCTFive Western Hills students brought home gold medals from the United States Air Force JROTC Regional Air Gun Competition held February 8-12 in Anniston, Alabama.  The cadets include Tommy San, Katelynn Law, Lara Lindberg, Alexander Maberry and Cody Grammer.

In addition to gold medals, the team won a first-place trophy, new rifle and $500.  They move on to face teams from all branches of the military (Army, Navy, Marines as well as six other top Air Force teams) in next month's Nationals competition.

Alexander “Scooter” Maberry and Lara Lindberg also placed individually in the top eight named shooter positions, and will have the chance to shoot in the finals competition.

Please congratulate these students for representing WHHS, Fort Worth ISD, Texas, and the USAF JROTC Program so well!
