Western Hills HS Lady Cougars Track Team Makes History

The Western Hills High School Lady Cougars Track Team secured the 6-4A District Championship, scoring 136 points.

Eight young ladies advanced the Regional Track Meet in Abilene on April 27-28.  Deza Ashton, Jaynisha Berry, Erika Gilbert, Kenosha Flournoy, Crystal Jones, Escada Miller, Deserae Owens, and Janae Thomas will all represent Western Hills.

For the first time ever, Western Hills will also go to Regionals in all three relays, and the school took home a gold medal for the 4 x 400m relay!

A big thank you to Coach Hensley, Ms. Wilson, Ms. Young, Coach Roland, Coach Clark and Coach Rock for helping make the Cougar family successful.  We started out together on a cold January day and are still going strong!

Additionally, thanks to all teachers and staff for supporting our student-athletes.  Without you, Western Hills couldn't be successful at anything.  It takes all of us to make it work!
