Texas Supreme Court Justice Visits Trimble Tech High School

Trimble Tech High School was honored to welcome Texas Supreme Court Justice Eva Guzman to campus on Wednesday, April 18.

Justice Guzman spoke to the students about the power in education and that education is the great equalizer.  She stressed that education can get you anywhere.

Justice Guzman enumerated four things that students should do to be successful:

  1. Find a mentor
  2. Define your vision and goals
  3. Have a passion for your goals and put forth maximum effort in everything you do
  4. Don't let anyone define your limitations

Finally Justice Guzman ended with a quote from Henry David Thoreau, "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.  Live the life you have imagined."

A big "thank you" goes to AVID students for helping to escort the guests through the school and to Culinary Arts for creating the beautiful flower-topped cupcakes for the luncheon.
