Diamond Hill-Jarvis History Students Stage Peaceful Protest

History students at Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School recently got a practical look at life in the 1960s. They organized a peaceful protest to wrap up their study of the decade.

Teacher Joe Clardy says the students developed a list of grievances to present to Principal Gayla Dawson. The students made their own tye dye T-shirts and posters.

The students then marched to the front office and delivered their list to Ms. Dawson who agreed to listen to them and negotiate a peaceful outcome.
