Cowtown Classic Invitational Drill Competition

Fort Worth ISD’s JROTC Corps of Cadets cordially invites you to the Annual Cowtown Classic Invitational Drill Competition, on October 27, 2012. Site for competition is Wilkerson Grienes Activity Center, 5201 C.A. Roberson, Fort Worth, TX 76119.  (Interstate-20 (West) and Witchita Street; appox 2.5 miles East of I-35W and I-20 Interchange).

Please note, there is a limit of two (2) teams per activity/event. Email the entry form to: Larry.Simpson@fwisd.org or FAX to 817-871-3254. To guarantee your desired team time - submit payment with entry form.  Otherwise, your schedule will be developed in order of receipt.  Remember, paid entries have priority in scheduling. 

Events of Competition: 

a) Academic Challenge– (4 Cadets per team, 2 teams per event-maximum)

b) Color Guard–Male/Coed (mixed), and/OR Female (4 Cadets per team, 2 teams per event-maximum)

c) Drill Team–Unarmed/Non-Service, and/OR Armed [(Service only), 2 teams per event]-maximum

d) Physical Fitness–Male, and Female (4 cadets per teamNO coed team, 2 teams per event-maximum)

e) Marksmanship competition - (Precision and/OR Sporter Team only) 2 teams per event-maximum)

We are excited about offering a generous array of team trophies (1st – 3rd places), 1st place team medals, other individual medals, and the Grand Champion Trophy. 

 NOTE:  The following information is provided to clarify criteria for Grand Championship trophy competition:

    1.  A school must enter a minimum of one (1) team in each of the following categories.  Academic Challenge, Color Guard, Drill and Marksmanship.  Beginning in 2012, Marksmanship is part of the Grand Championship package.

     2.  Physical Fitness:  A school must enter a MALE AND a FEMALE team --- total of 2 teams.

     3.  If more than one team is entered in an event (not counting PT) then the entering school must identify which team is the Grand Championship competitor.
