Campus Educational Improvement Plan
The Texas Education Code § 11.253 requires each principal and campus decision-making team to develop, review, and revise the Campus Educational Improvement Plan (CEIP). The CEIP directs and supports the improvement of student performance for all student populations. These plans are essential to meet the District’s and campuses’ achievement goals.
Each CEIP must:
- Assess the academic achievement for each student in the school;
- Set the campus performance objectives based on the Adequate Yearly Progress report and projections;
- Identify how the campus goals will be met for each student;
- Determine the resources needed to implement the plan;
- Identify staff needed to implement the plan;
- Set timelines for reaching these goals;
- Measure progress toward the performance objectives periodically to ensure that the plan is resulting in academic achievement;
- Include goals and methods for violence prevention, intervention, and increased attendance, and;
- Provide for a program to encourage parental involvement at the campus.
