If variety is the spice of life, the lunch options at Fort Worth ISD this coming school year will have taste buds tingling. The Child Nutrition Services department once again is stressing an array of food choices that are both good-tasting and good for you.
The focus on health means no deep-fat frying in Fort Worth ISD kitchens and no foods of minimal nutritional value in meals or snacks offered in schools. All a la carte and snack items will adhere to size restrictions. The department also will carefully monitor nutritional information from food suppliers to ensure that students get high-quality, nutritious meals.

Free & Reduced Meals
The District offers a reduced-price lunch and breakfast program for eligible students. Application forms for 2009-2010 will be available at the Lunch Office at 509 East Northside Drive and online.
