Built on the city’s East Side in 1932, Morningside Elementary is an architecturally significant building. The Morningside Pre K-through-5th graders are known as the Rams. Their colors are purple and gold.
Morningside’s enrollment 2007-2008 is 475. Students, teachers and other staff take to heart the school’s motto, “Working with pride at Morningside.” And the work is not just limited to the classroom. All students get to “get their hands dirty,” working in the vegetable and flower garden in back of the school. It’s a growth experience for all involved.
