Meadowbrook Middle School is the home of the Buffaloes. Their colors are green and gold. 900 6th – 8th graders are in attendance for 2007 – 2008.
Meadowbrook was built on the city’s East Side in 1936 and is on the list of architecturally significant buildings in Fort Worth.
But it’s what goes on inside the building that is especially significant. Meadowbrook celebrates learning and achievement with a special Academic Awards Ceremony each six weeks. Students who make the A or A-B honor roll are given prize ribbons or certificates. If they make the honor roll every six weeks of the semester, they take home a watch. The staff also divides the students into teams. These teams are also eligible for prizes, including a giant stuffed animal - a buffalo, of course – for points earned for attendance, being on time, and good behavior.

- What is your philosophy (in 1 or 2 sentences) about teaching/education?
Success is an expectation. Failure is not an option. In other words, if we fail, we fail our most valuable asset, our children.
- What excites you about your new challenge as a PEAK principal?
I see the strides that our students are making in all academic areas, and it stems from great teachers!
- People don’t know that as a former college athlete, I am a coach at heart. I am a coach as a mother, a coach for our students and a coach for our teachers!
