Fort Worth ISD is reorganizing its Parent and Public Engagement Departments. That means we are looking for top talent to fill exciting positions. The reorganization came about as we developed a new Strategic Plan using the Malcolm Baldrige criteria that has worked so well in business and non-profit organizations.
By transforming these departments, we expect to more effectively meet and measure Strategic Goal #3: Enhance Family and Community Engagement. Parent Engagement will become the Department of Family Communication. Public Engagement will become the Department of Strategic Partnerships.

Here are short descriptions of the job opportunities in these departments:
Director II, Community & Strategic Partnerships
This marketing, social media and communications-savvy person will:
· Design, implement and direct the new Department of Strategic Partnerships
· Lead a group of professionals committed to finding ways for businesses, non-profit organizations and others to support student achievement
· Lead the effective implementation of the Fort Worth ISD Partners (formerly known as the Adopt-A-School Program)
Director II, Family Communications
This marketing, social media and communications-savvy person will:
· Design, implement and direct the new Department of Family Communications
· Lead an aggressive and data-driven program to ensure parent-teacher communication, family engagement and support of all students in the Fort Worth ISD
· Develop and Implement a communications plan for parents that utilizes all platforms of messaging
Coordinator III, Corporate Partnerships
This person will have knowledge of marketing concepts and social media strategies and will:
· Coordinate with Fort Worth businesses to identify and place resources to support student achievement
· Collects information for and maintains a database of businesses and their contributions to the District
· Connects businesses to campuses in the Fort Worth ISD Partners Program (formerly Adopt-A-School)
Coordinator III, Community Partnerships
This person will have knowledge of marketing concepts and social media strategies and will:
· Coordinate the Fort Worth non-profit organizations to identify and place resources to support student achievement
· Collects information for and maintains a data base of non-profit organizations and their contributions to the District
· Connects non-profit organizations to campuses in the Fort Worth ISD Partners Program (formerly Adopt-A-School)
Specialist IV, Family Communications Volunteer Specialist
This person will implement a multi-platform, data-driven and outcomes-measured program to train and deploy volunteers in support of student achievement. Job functions include:
· Connecting volunteers with specific campuses and Fort Worth ISD families
· Strategizing with principals the best way to support the work of campus administrators and teachers
· Working to increase PTA/PTO membership in assigned schools and collaborates directly with Parent Liaisons
Specialist IV, Family Communications Spanish Language & African-American Outreach
This person will implement a multi-platform, data-driven and outcomes-measured program to engage families in supporting the academic achievement of students. Job functions include:
· Designing and implementing a Spanish language communications plan for parents
· Designing and implementing a communications plan to actively involve and increase the participation of African-American parents in the Fort Worth ISD
· Ensuring as many parents as possible are signed up for Parent Portal and measuring the percentage of participation on a quarterly basis
Specialist IV, Family Communications Faith-based and Social Services
This person will implement a multi-platform, data-driven and outcomes-measured program to engage families in supporting the academic achievement of students. Job functions include:
· Collaborating meaningfully on successfully getting families and churches to support the work of principals and teachers, using data to inform and evaluate decisions and outcomes
· Ensuring all parents know what their children are expected to learn and providing them with user-friendly tools to empower them.
· Working a Sunday-Thursday or Saturday-Wednesday shift as needed to effectively communicate and make appearances at Fort Worth churches, synagogues and other places of worship
Specialist IV, Family Communications/College Readiness
This person will implement a multi-platform, data-driven and outcomes-measured program to engage families in supporting the academic achievement of students. Job functions include:
· Designing and implementing a college readiness information communications plan for parents, starting at elementary school and continuing through high school
· Ensuring all parents know what their children are expected to learn and providing them with user-friendly tools to empower them
· Working with parents and campus administrators to develop, write and publish a Parent Compact for specific schools
Administrative Associate IIA (Community & Strategic Partnerships)
This person will provide a full range of secretarial support to administrative professional staff in the Department of Community and Strategic Partnerships. Job functions include:
· Helping with the transition and implementation of Fort Worth ISD’s new donor database system to ensure accuracy of the partners and schools, financial contributions and contact information
· Assisting with preparing activity reports and data analysis, as requested by the Director
· Maintaining budget expenditures, forms and records, including personnel and payroll information
Administrative Associate IIA (Family Communications)
This person will provide a full range of secretarial support to administrative professional staff in the Department of Family Communications. Job functions include:
· Assisting with preparing activity reports and data analysis, as requested by the Director

· Assisting in coordinating District-wide events and activities produced by the Departments of Strategic Partnerships and Family Communication
