40 Developmental Assets

The Search Institute has shown that the more assets young people have, the more likely they are to exhibit positve attitudes and behavior.. and be more academically successful.  In fact, a child’s level of assets is a better predictor of grades and GPA than family structure, race/ethnicity, and family income level. Having more assets helps all young people do better in school.

The Search Institute came to Fort Worth ISD during the 2009-2009 school year to lead two training of trainer sessions.  Our goal was to develop a cadre of 60 trainers that would share the 40 Developmental Assets message to our staff, students, parents and members of the community.

If you are interested in learning more about the 40 Developmental Assets and how to create an asset rich environment, please contact Rene' Moore or complete the presentation request form
