All St.A.R.S. Services
Jr. All St.A.R.S. Services for students in grades PK-2
- During the school year: Students attend 1/2-day workshops in the mornings for 6 weeks at the All St.A.R.S. program site to learn critical social skills to improve classroom behavior. In the afternoons, All St.A.R.S. teachers accompany students back to their classrooms and assist the students in applying the skills they just learned that day and carrying over previously learned skills.
- During the summer: Students attend a 4-day summer camp at the All St.A.R.S. program site to review behavioral skills learned during the school year while in All St.A.R.S. and to practice those skills in new situations.
- How Teachers are involved: On the Jr. All St.A.R.S. day, an All St.A.R.S. teacher will spend the afternoon in your room working shoulder to shoulder with you to encourage positive behavior in your students. An informal teacher round table discussion is held for 1 hour after school for each of the 6 weeks your student is being served. We discuss what's working, what's not, preview upcoming skills, and collaborate on behavior strategies that will improve your students' behavior.
- How Parents are involved: Parents are crucial team members in Jr. All St.A.R.S. An introductory parent meeting is held before your child attends our workshops so that you can learn about what your child will be doing and how you can help him/her make better behavior choices and form good habits that will benefit him/her in life, not just in his/her current grade.

How Mentors are involved: Mentors are chosen by students during the workshop as someone on their home campus that can support them in the changes they are making in their behavior. Mentors see the student each day and encourage appropriate behavior by reviewing the student’s goals, coach on how to reach those goals, and recognize progress being made. An All St.A.R.S. teacher will meet with mentors one day a week to check in on the progress being made by the student.
