Focus Groups

The Special Education Focus Groups, provide the opportunity for parents to meet professionals in the community several times a year.  Providers help educate parents and caregivers on the resources available in the community as well as Tarrant County.  In addition, Providers offer information on available programs addressing the needs of specific disabilities.

Through the Fort Worth ISD Special Education Department, licensed clinicians are available to provide:

  • Information concerning existing community and district services
  • Information on specific disabling conditions and available programs
  • Individual parent support/consultation
  • A liaison between parents and the Special Education Department
  • Information to parents about the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) process
