And the award goes to...

JOHN T. WHITE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The Fort Worth Independent School District is proud to recognize John T. White Elementary School and Campus Web Manager Erika Johnson for having the Campus Website of the Week for March 26-30.  Congratulations!

Campus Website of the Week is designed to highlight the hard work and dedication of those individuals who maintain and update Fort Worth ISD's individual campus websites. The overall goal is to ensure each website contains relevant, current information that is both attractive and engaging to students, parents, staff and the community.  Each month, the Fort Worth ISD Webby Award also recognizes overall excellence regarding the campus websites.

"The website keeps parents and the community informed about what’s going on at our campus and in our District," Johnson said.  "It showcases our students and lets parents know about our upcoming programs, tests, and anything else."

Johnson fills several roles at John T. White Elementary.  In addition to Campus Web Manager, she serves as Data Analyst, Test Coordinator, TELPAS Coordinator, New Teacher Mentor and Technology Integration Educator. 

She says she enjoys highlighting the wonderful students and teachers at John T. White.

"I love the Accelerated Reader feature," Johnson said.  "It lets our parents and communities know that we are lifelong learners.  We are always reading at John T. White.  I like to see what our students are reading, how many books we have read and how many words we have read as a school."
