Wedgwood Middle School

The Fort Worth Independent School District is proud to recognize Wedgwood Middle School for having the Campus Website of the Week for November 26-30, 2012.  Congratulations!

Campus Website of the Week is designed to recognize schools for their online efforts to inform, engage and entertain members of the campus community.

Each month, the District issues a challenge to encourage schools to utilize their campus website to communicate with students, parents and more. Finalists are selected for Campus Website of the Week, with the overall winner taking home the coveted Webby Award.

The challenge for December is "Tis The Season!" We know that each school's staff, students and parents are always giving back to the community. During the holiday season, the campus websites will be showcasing these efforts.

Campus Web Manager Jorge Pineda said, "Our school website is a great tool that allows us to extend our open door policy because we are proud of our academic programs."

The Wedgwood Middle School campus website hosts information about its current Toys For Tots drive and last month's Trotting For Turkeys Food Drive!

"Our school website builds a two-way communication between the school and our audience that conveys the day-to-day life at our school and invites our students, parents and friends to respond," Pineda said.
