I have always been a very different learner. My experiences led me to become a teacher in South Central Los Angeles, CA after I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in School Health Education from CSU Long Beach. I taught 3rd grade, 4th grade, and Kindergarten in Southern California. My family and I faced a major challenge and moved to the Fort Worth area in 2008 where we were able to establish a new home. This is my 12th year teaching at D.McRae where I have taught 3rd grade, 1st grade, Kindergarten, and Pre-K. I have been married for 19+ years, have three children, and a 100+ pound Labrador-Great Pyrenees dog.

Ms. Keila Wierzbicki
Hello! My name is Keila Wierzbicki. I am a graduate of The University of North Texas. I have a BA degree in Science. I am thrilled to say that I have been an early childhood educator for 24 years in Fort Worth. I enjoy spending time teaching young children. It is invigorating to see them discover new and exciting things throughout the year. They call me the “Frog Lady” because I love frogs. I have over 200 frogs in my classroom collection so far. I enjoy being the mother of two grown sons and the grandmother to an nine-year-old granddaughter and a seven-year-old grandson. They are the light of my life!
My philosophy for learning is that each child is different and learns in a different way. I would not be able to do my job without the help of ALL parents and family members. I look forward to having a great year!

Mrs. Arlene Saenz
My name is Arlene Saenz a Pre-K teacher at D. McRae Elementary. I started teaching at D. McRae 17 years ago as Ms. Valle and most students, parents, and staff continue to call me so. I was born and raised in Fort Worth and a product of FWISD. I graduated from Texas Wesleyan in 2003 and have been very fortunate to continue to be a part of this community and work with fellow Wesleyan alumni. It has been amazing to watch my once 4-year-old student graduate high school and go on to college. I'm thankful for every year I get to meet a new group of students and follow them on their journey in life.
