COLLEGE COLORS DAY (VIRTUAL EDITION) SET FOR SEPTEMBER 18
Fort Worth, Texas – Whether in-person or cyberspace, Fort Worth ISD teachers, staff and students are encouraged to dress in college colors on Friday, September 18, 2020 as a way to promote the attainable goal of a college education.
The District is asking schools and families to get creative. While some may dress in gear from his or her favorite institution, others may decorate learning at home spaces or virtual Google classrooms to showcase school spirit. Still, others may incorporate the vision or mission statement of a particular school into a lesson plan. Your limitation is your imagination!
“Even in these uncertain times, it is important for us to continue to foster a culture that expects students to become life-long learners,” said Dr. Anita Perry, executive director of FWISD Collegiate Programming and Advisement. “I know that many of our campuses and students will do great and exciting things to celebrate College Colors Day.”
Please be sure to share your College Colors Day originality on social media by using the hashtag #FWISDCollegeColors and tag @FortWorthISD on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. We’ll share as many photos and videos as we can on our District platforms!
And also, don’t forget to register and attend our virtual College Night 2020! This event promises “one-stop shopping” for all things higher education. Students will learn how to navigate college options during COVID-19 and beyond.
