This year’s Fort Worth ISD Convocation was again both virtual and live –with teachers able to watch from their respective campus.
Superintendent Dr. Kent P. Scribner and Reverend Charles F. Johnson spoke live from the Fort Worth ISD Board Room before an audience of students. The platform was YouTube Live and resembled a “Ted talk,” informal yet informative. Each FWISD campus watched as a group.
Reverend Johnson leads the statewide ecumenical organization, Pastors for Children, which mobilizes the faith community for public education support and advocacy. PTC promotes school assistance programs in communities all over the state, cultivates community partners for public education, and mobilizes clergy to advocate for sound public education policy in state government. Charles Johnson is a frequent speaker in university, church, business, education, and non-profit circles.
