Garcia
  • This is my fifth year at Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School. Before, I served as the principal at Elder Middle School for 6 years. I was Senior Teacher of the Year at South Hills for the 2003-2004 school year. I was Coach of the Year for District 8-4A for 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 school years. I took a baseball team to Italy through Sister Cities and played in an Olympiad where they won the gold medal. I taught ESL strategies to both Brazilian teachers in Brazil in 2007 and to Croatian teachers in Croatia in 2008. I am a product of the Fort Worth ISD school system, where I attended Greenbriar Elementary, Rosemont Middle School, and Paschal High School. I am a graduate of Kansas Wesleyan University, where I received his Bachelor of Arts degree and was a four-year letterman in football. I then attended Texas Wesleyan University 19 years later to receive my Master of Education degree. I am certified in both ESL and gifted-and-talented education. I was a presenter for future teachers at TCU. “Diamond Hill-Jarvis is the best kept secret in the Fort Worth School system.”
