FWISD Community Partnerships Grant

  • Infographic FWISD has worked to improve the Pre-K experience and increase opportunities for our city’s families—but we know some communities still don’t have equitable access to high-quality early learning. In fact, we estimate that just 51 percent of eligible 3- and 4-year-olds attend high-quality Pre-K programs in our district. This year, we set out to engage the 76119 community and transform Pre-K opportunities at five FWISD schools and four early childhood learning centers.

    About the Community Partnerships Grant

FWISD applied for and received a $750,000 Community Partnerships Grant from the Texas Education Agency to improve early literacy, kindergarten readiness, and Pre-K accessibility in 76119 by May 2020. This funding will help us implement individualized supports for our youngest learners in partnership with five target schools and four early childhood centers.
