I was born in Illinois and grew up in Kansas. I attended Fort Hays State University, in Hays Kansas. I majored in art and education, with an emphasis in
Ceramics. After I earned my BFA, I moved to Fort Worth. I was blessed to get a job teaching art and 5th grade ELA at Westpark. I have been at Westpark ever since. I am currently in my 20th year teaching. I was the art teacher here at Westpark for 18 years. I decided I wanted a little change, so I began teaching 2nd grade Math!! I have loved the change. I still love art, but being in the classroom again has been great. I am married to Chad McMillan and have two boys. Braden in an eighth grader at Tison Middle School and Harrison is a fifth grader at Ikard Elementary School, both in Weatherford.
