Ms. Tigra Swan - 4th Grade Math

 

Ms. Swan was born and raised in Dallas, TX, and graduated from Townview Magnet Center. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education at Southwestern Adventist University. She then obtained her Master’s degree in Education Literacy at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2014. This will be her 7th year teaching.

During her free time, Ms. Swan loves to spend time with her faith, family, and friends. She enjoys taking care of her animals, learning about plants and herbs, traveling and exploring various parts of the world, and relaxing.

Ms. Swan is so excited to be a member of the Sunrise McMillan family and is looking forward to teaching, learning, and growing every day!

Ms. RaShona Hampton - 4th Grade ELA

 

Ms. RaShona Hampton, a Fort Worth native and graduate of Diamond Hill Jarvis High School, has had extensive experience in the field of education with regards to the classroom. As a teacher assistant, she enjoyed teaching and being an extension of her teachers to mold and push students above and beyond greatness. Her love of learning inspired Ms. Hampton to go back to school and earn a bachelor’s degree in Social Science and then a Master’s Degree in Education from Ashford University in 2013. Among other educational achievements, she was recognized as an Honoree on the Dean’s List which culminated in her graduating with honors. She enjoys reading the Bible, spending time with her family, playing recreation sports, and traveling.

Ms. Sydney McNulty - 4th Grade Science

 

Ms. Sydney McNulty is a returning 4th grade Science, Social Studies, and Health teacher. She is beginning her second year teaching, and is excited to be working again with her wonderful Sunrise students!

 

Ms. McNulty is originally from State College, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Geneva College in May 2019 with a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education. She moved to Texas in July 2019 to teach and pursue a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction in Urban Education from Texas Wesleyan University.

 

Outside of teaching, Ms. McNulty likes to paint, read, hike, kayak, kick box, play volleyball, and try different food trucks around the DFW area! She also has a pet rock, Sarge, who has traveled around with her since 2016.
