FWISD Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program for students in third through 12th grades. Students read a committee chosen list of books and come together in teams to demonstrate their abilities and to test their knowledge of the books they have read. The student teams spar with each other in a style similar to the TV series "Family Feud" or Whiz Quiz competitions. 

The TABS Battle of the Books teams go on to compete at the district competition in the Spring at TCU against other high schools. Currently, TABS Battle of the Books team is the reigning district champion, and we look forward to retaining the title in the next school year.
