Call for Great Schools

  • The mission of the Fort Worth Independent School District (FWISD) is to prepare all students for success in college, career, and community leadership. To fulfill this mission, FWISD is seeking to expand school options by authorizing School Partnership that provide innovative, sustainable academic programs that lead to better outcomes for our students.
This partnership process begins with a Call for Great Schools (CGS)!

    Call for Great Schools Objective

The objective of the Call for Great Schools is to establish a pipeline of partner organizations to manage or open new schools in FWISD for Fall 2022 or Fall 2023. For this round of the Call for Great Schools, FWISD is seeking Innovation Partnerships.

    CGS Innovation Partnership Priorities

Under Texas Partnership law, the district authorizes a non-profit organization, institute of higher education, or government entity to operate a FWISD school under a performance contract. The partner has responsibility for staff, curriculum, calendar, assessments, budget, and other school-level decision-making while the district holds the partner accountable for academic and financial performance.

    Why Partner with FWISD?

Fort Worth ISD is a strong district for partner organizations to launch or expand school networks due to our commitment to innovation and our broad array of local assets.
