Ms. Kathy Tucker
Assistant Principal (AP) Tucker graduated with a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Kentucky, then earned her Master's degree in Educational Leadership from NOVA Southeastern University. During her education career, AP Tucker taught English at Ft. Myers Middle Academy and Dunbar High School for 4 years in Ft. Myers, Florida. Upon moving to Texas, she taught English/Reading at Young Junior High in Arlington, Texas for 16 years. Then, AP Tucker served as a Reading Specialist and Instructional Coach at Oscar Dean Wyatt High School, then Dean of Instruction at Glenn Crest 6th Grade, and for the past two years as an Assistant Principal at William James Middle School.
AP Tucker works to help campuses thrive by helping to create a culture conducive to learning and through data-driven instruction, for once you know, you can do.
When not working, AP Tucker enjoys spending time with her family, friends and traveling.
