I have a 15 year-old son and an identical twin sister. During my free time, I enjoy yoga, hiking, cleaning, cooking, and learning new things.

I'm the Lead Career and Technical Education Instructor at TCC South FWISD Collegiate High School. I oversee the Work-Based Learning program on our campus and work closely with our industry partners as well as Tarrant County College instructors to ensure our students are successful in their chosen pathway.

I have been a teacher for 18 years and worked in the Information Technology industry for three years. I started my education path at the University of North Texas focusing on my studies in psychology. After I graduated, I served 1700 hours with AmeriCorps as a Reading-One-to-One Tutor through the University of Texas in Dallas. I found a love for watching students make progress and teaching during this time. So, I started my teaching career with my first assignment as a kindergarten teacher. Later, I was given the opportunity to teach in the computer lab at the elementary level and found that I had great deal to learn about technology. I made the decision to go back to school and complete my studies to work toward a Masters of Science in Information Systems.
After I graduated, I was so fortunate to find an opportunity to work for American Airlines Federal Credit Union as an IT Operations Analyst. I made a difficult, yet needed decision to return to teaching as a Career and Technical Education teacher at the secondary level. However, I was determined to keep my technology skills up to date, so I contracted as an IT Consultant part-time. In addition, I taught as an adjunct professor with Dallas County Community College District for two semesters. Over the last twenty years, I've taught with Dallas ISD, Irving ISD, and now, Fort Worth ISD.
