Irma Zamora

Professor of Social Studies

I am Professor Zamora from TCC South/FWISD PTECH High School. I teach US History 1301 and 1302 Dual Credit, AP U.S. History as well as Latinx and African/African American Studies. I have been teaching in public education for three years. Prior, I taught at Collin County and Tarrant County Colleges for two years.

The subject of history has fascinated me since I was in elementary school. History allows curiosity to wander, creativity to thrive, reflection to wonder, and social responsibility to thrive. It is an absolute privilege to instill those connections from our nation's past to our everyday lives and our future to each of my students. I hope to pass on the love of history to each!

I enjoy reading (history and literature), writing, crocheting, and traveling. As a matter of fact, I am currently writing a horror fiction story! (That is my favorite genre.) I also enjoy sports: the New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers.

It will be an honor to have your student in class this year. Please know that I am available to both my students AND their families. Please stop by and join a class, send me an email, or call me with any questions or concerns. The class syllabi include all my contact information. I look forward to a great year!
