In most cases, teachers who participate in external (out-of-district) professional learning will receive Teacher-Selected FLEX because most District Content FLEX hours are hosted internally by content area departments. Learning through an external provider WILL NOT BE APPROVED towards "District Content FLEX" without pre-approval from the appropriate Content Area Director or Executive Director. The professional learning must occur during off-contract hours throughout the summer, fall, spring, after school, on weekends, or on the 5 District FLEX Days identified on the Fort Worth ISD calendar.

To submit a certificate of completion for out-of-district professional learning for Teacher-Selected FLEX credit, go to Out-of-District (Teacher-Selected) Credit Form. Certificates of completion for out-of-district professional learning should be submitted no later than two weeks after the event. The final date to submit out-of-district certificates is April 10, 2023.
