When will I get a Fort Worth ISD badge?
Once you have completed your onboarding process and are ready to start, your Talent Management Onboarding member will provide your Fort Worth ISD ID badge.
Badges can be picked up Monday - Thursday from 9 am to 4 pm. Your first badge is free of charge.For badge replacements, please contact Central Calling at 817-814-2780 or email TSSI@fwisd.org.

Is my high school diploma/GED acceptable?
As there are many online and private institutions that offer a Diploma/GED program; Fort Worth ISD follows the Texas Education Agency guidelines for accreditation and will only accept a diploma or GED from an institution that is accredited and recognized by TEA. Below is a list of those accrediting agencies/associations that your school must fall under for us to accept your diploma or GED.

What is my educational credentials are from another country outside of the United States?
Equivocation/Out of Country
If your credentials are from another country outside of the United States, you will have to have those documents equivocated to U.S. Standards. Below is a list of accrediting agencies that we will accept an equivocation form
Foreign Credentials Evaluation Services
Texas Education Agency (TEA) will accept evaluations of foreign credentials (credential evaluation reports) from the following organizations for the purposes of Texas certification. These organizations are members of either the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).

Do my college transcripts have to be official or can they be copies?
College transcripts must be official documents. If E-Scripted or sent electronically, they will need to be emailed directly to the Team Member assisting you in your Onboarding experience. Paper transcripts are acceptable as long as they are official. If it is a paper transcript mailed by your university, please have the document mailed directly to yourself and bring it to our office in person. Many departments utilize transcripts and we are not responsible for lost transcripts mailed directly to our office.

Do you need my Social Security Card?
Social Security Card (Required for Benefit/Payroll Purposes)
Yes, while you can use any acceptable I-9 documents the Onboarding Team member processing your onboarding paperwork will need to see the original document to verify and make a copy for payroll purposes. Your information will be entered into our system according to the name listed on your social security card.
Have you misplaced or lost your social security card?
You may be able to apply for a replacement card online

How many references do I need and who can complete a reference form for me?
All candidates will be required to provide two reference forms to complete their files. At least one reference form will need to be from a current supervisor. The second reference can be from another supervisor, co-worker, or other professional contacts who is not family member. Collecting references is the responsibility of the candidate. Reference forms can be sent through the Frontline application system or you can download a reference form to utilize here.

Do you need my State ID/Driver's License?
Yes, while you can use any form of identification for your I-9, you will be required to have a state ID or Driver's License, from any state in the U.S., for your background check to be uploaded to the state.
Do you have a valid state-issued driver's license or identification card?
You may be able to apply for a replacement card online

How do I enroll in my benefits?
New employees have 31 calendar days from their employment date (the date they start to work) to enroll or decline coverage.

How do I set up my email account?
Once you have completed the hiring process and picked up your badge your email account will be ready to access usually within 24-48 hours. To set up the account, you will need to do so using a district computer. Once your account has been set up you will be able to remotely access it from any computer. Please follow the instructions here to set up that account.

Do I need to complete an application if I previously worked for the district?
Yes, it is required that you submit an online application even if you worked for FWISD previously.
