    WHO WE ARE SEEKING

The role of the school leader is second only to teaching in impacting student achievement.  The essential leadership actions required Day 1 on the job are critical to the long-term success in the role. For that reason, our Principal and Assistant Principal Talent Pool processes were redesigned in the Spring of 2019 to ensure we effectively identify candidates who demonstrate the competencies, skills, and beliefs required on the first day on the job.

The competencies, skills and beliefs measured in our Assessment Centers are directly aligned to T-PESS. We aim to develop activities designed to show how well candidates know and are able to demonstrate essential leadership actions tied to the following:

T-PESS Indicators & District Qualifications

  • Strong School Leadership and Planning

  • Effective, Well-Supported Teachers

  • Positive School Culture

  • High-Quality Curriculum

  • Effective Instruction

  • Fort Worth ISD Qualifications
