Yesterday, the boys and girls track team competed in the Area Track and Field Championships at Kennedale High School, setting 7 personal records.

Abby Moilan started the morning off by getting 3^rd place in the shot-putt, setting a personal record with a throw of 36'-11.75".

The varsity boys and girls track team completed day 2 of competition in the 9-4A District Track and Field Championships yesterday at Clark Stadium, setting eight personal records. The girls' team finished third in the team standings. The boys' team dominated the meet, scoring 216 points and bringing home the 9-4A District Championship.

Varsity Girls Day 2 Results:
4 x 100 meter relay - (Brenda Gonzalez Martinez, AnJell Smith, Ja'liya James, and Kyra Kay) in 4th place, running their fastest time of the year.
4 x 200 meter relay - (Janyiah Mathews, Ja'liya James, Kyra Kay, and AnJell Smith) 4th place

Today the boys and girls varsity track team completed day one of the competition in the District 9-4A Track and Field Championships. There were two personal records set today, for the girls' team.

Monicah Jones got 4^th place in the Discus, setting a personal record with a throw of 82'-1".

Abby Moilan got 5^th place in the Discus, setting a personal record with a throw of 79'-2'.

The varsity girls team is currently in 4^th place in the team standings with 16 points.

On Thursday, the boys and girls junior varsity track team competed in the District 9-4A Track and Field Championships at Clark Stadium. Both teams did an awesome job of representing Western Hills HS with nine personal records set. The junior varsity girls team finished 3^rd in the team standings, scoring 50 points, and the junior varsity boys finished as runner-ups in the team standings, scoring 135 points. The track coaching staff would like to give a huge shout out to our junior varsity girls team of Braylah Brooks, Drayiana Holmes, Lenaia Hall, and Mikayla Pressley. These four young ladies scored 50 points by competing in multiple events.

This past Saturday, the boys and girls track team competed in the Little Elm Lobo track meet. Both boys' and girls' teams are improving at each meet, and set 12 personal records this past weekend.

Abby Moilan took 1^st place in the shot-putt, setting a personal record with a throw of 36' 5.50".

Going into spring break, the boys and girls track and field team competed in the South Hills Scorpion Relays, setting 19 personal records.

The highlight field event of the day was Abby Moilan taking 1^st place in the Shot Putt, setting a personal record with a throw of 36' 5".

The Varsity Girls 4x200 Track Team placed 3rd in The Mineral Wells Track Meet. The relay consisted of Janiya Mathews, AnJell Smith, Jaliya James and Kyra Kay.

Brayla Brooks took 2nd place in the long jump.  

Others that competed well were Dreyiana Holmes, Lanaia Hall, Mikayla Pressley, Leslie Gutierrez and Michelle Medellin.
