  • TEACHER LAPTOP & IPAD DISTRIBUTION

    Fort Worth ISD Technology provides a laptop and iPad for all classroom teachers. For teachers that need a laptop and iPad Technology Campus Support now delivers this equipment directly to the teacher at their campus. To request this equipment:

    1. go to https://supporthub.fwisd.org and Create an Incident.

    2. Complete all the information by entering the school phone number, teacher room number, select Hardware from the Category drop-down and in "additional comments" enter:
        • Deliver a teacher laptop and iPad for [teacher name], Employee ID [#######}, room number {####}

    3. Click Submit to send the request.

  • Can I pick up my teacher Macbook and iPad?

    Starting September 2023, Macbooks and iPads are delivered to the campus by Technology Customer Service after a SupportHub incident is submitted.

  • Will my MacBook work on my classroom interactive whiteboard or panel?

    Yes, the MacBook is compatible with the standard classroom Promethean interactive whiteboards, Promethean panels and BenQ panels.

  • Can I keep my Windows laptop and docking station?

    Teachers can keep their Windows laptop until the end of the 2022-23 school year. Windows laptops must be checked in to the campus as part of summer checkout. Technology will collect teacher Windows laptops from campuses summer of 2023.  Out of warranty laptops that are over 4 years old can no longer be repaired or maintained.

  • Will my Windows laptop be picked up when I get my new MacBook?

    We ask that teachers prepare their Windows laptop and docking station to be collected during the Macbook distribution. Follow these steps to have your laptop ready for collection:

    1. Back up your files to your FWISD OneDrive or FWISD Google Drive (File Backup Instructions)

    2. Remove any accessories from your dock and laptop including flash drives, wireless keyboard/mouse usb receiver or any other accessory you want to keep. 

    3.  Gather the laptop and docking station power cords for collection.
