    This past Friday, April 12th, the varsity boys and girls competed in the 9-4A/10-4A Area Track and Field Championships at Clark Stadium. Trishtan Wills got 1st place in the 110-meter hurdles, setting a new personal and school record with a time of 14.92. He also got 4th place in the 300-meter hurdles. Abby Moilan got 4th place in the discus, setting a new personal record with a throw of 106'-9". She also got 4th place in the Shot Put. Trishtan will be competing in both hurdle events and Abby will be competing in the Shot Put and Discus at the 4A Region 2 Track and Field Championships in Denton on Friday, April 19th, and Saturday, April 20th.

    Shot Put - Abby Moilan 4th place
    Discus - Abby Moilan, 4th place, setting a new personal record with a throw of 106'-9"
    High Jump - Ariana Carter 6th place
    Triple Jump - Kyra Kay set a new personal record with a jump of 33'-9.25"
    4x200 meter relay - (Samiah Nichols, AnGell Smith, Adriyana Robinson, and Ja'liya James) 5th place

    Shot Put - Dominic Salazar in 5th place, setting a new personal record with a throw of 43'-9.75"
    Discus - K'heaven Johnson 6th place
    High Jump - Stefon Holman, 6th place, setting a new personal record with a jump of 5'-6"
    4x400 meters - (Devan Wheatley, Brycen Foster, Tavares Hamilton, and Xavier Richmond) 6th place
    110-meter hurdles - Trishtan Willis in 1st place, setting a new personal and school record with a time of 14.92

  • JV District 9-4A Results

    On Tuesday, April 2nd, the junior varsity boys and girls track team competed in the 9-4A District Track and Field Championships at Clark Stadium. Zahar Oliver got 1st place in the High Jump. Joshua Oliver got 1st place in the 110-meter hurdles and Demitrez Fails got 1st place in the 300-meter hurdles. The girls' team finished 3rd in the team standings, scoring 56 points and the boys finished in 1st place in the team standings, scoring 147 points.

    Yesterday, the boys and girls junior varsity track teams competed in the 9-4A District Track and Field Championships. The girls finished 3rd in the team standings, scoring 56 points. The boys finished in 1st place in the team standings, scoring 147 points.

  • Krum Invitational

    The boys and girls track teams competed in the Krum Invitational track meet yesterday. Wow ! How about Abby Moilan? She got 1st place in the Shot-Put, setting a personal and new school record with a throw of 40'-9", breaking her old record of 37'-8".

  • South Hills Scorpion Relays

    On Friday, March 8th, the boys and girls track teams competed in the South Hills Scorpion Relays, setting two new school and 30 plus personal records. Abby Moilan set a new school record in the varsity girls Shot Put with a throw of 37'-08", breaking her old record of 36'-5.5". Trishtan Willis set a new school record in the varsity boys 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.07. The team of (Tavares Hamilton, Brycen Foster, Devan Wheatley, and Xavier Richmond) closed out the track meet, taking 1st place in the 4x400 meter relay.

  • Mineral Wells Ram Relays

    The boys and girls track teams traveled to Minerals Wells today to compete in the Ram Relays. Ariana Carter got things started by taking 1st place in the JV girls' high jump, setting a personal record with a jump of 5' 0". The JV girls' team scored 86 points, getting second place in the team standings. The team of Mikayla Pressley, Yazmin Richmond, Samiah Nichols, and Ariana Carter got 1st place in the JV girls 4 x 100m relay and the team of Mikayla Pressley, Samiah Nichols, Ajah Phillips, and Ariana Carter got 1st place in the JV girls 4 x 200m relay. There were several individual personal records set by the boys' and girls' teams.

  • Dallas Bryan Adams Relay

    On Saturday, the boys and girls track team braved the cold weather competing in their first track meet of the year.

    Junior Abby Moilan kicked the new season off by taking 1st place in the varsity girls shot put and 2nd place in the discus, setting a personal record with a throw of 97' 0". Freshmen Ariana Carter, fresh off a playoff basketball game, took 1st place in the JV girls' high jump. The team of Mikayla Pressley, Adriyana Robinson, Ajah Phillips, and Samiah Nichols finished 6th in the JV girls 4 x 100-meter relay.  

    On the varsity boys' side, Cavon Washington, competing in the long jump for the first time, finished 4th with a jump of 19' 4"; K'heaven Johnson finished 4th in the shot put; Tristhan Wills finished 4th in the 110-meter hurdles; Xavier Richmond finished 6th in the triple jump; the team of Xavier Richmond, Cavon Washington, Love Willis, and Javares Hamilton finished 4th in the 4 x 200-meter relay; and the team of Nick Henry, Javares Hamilton, Xavier Richmond, and Devan Wheatley finished 6th in the 4 x 100-meter relay. 

    For the JV boys, Mauricio Martinez finished 4th in the shot put; Ja'Shaun Drakeford finished 6th in the shot put; Demitrez Fails finished 6th in the 300-meter hurdles running this event for the first time; Justin Hurst finished 6th in the long jump; Alexis Yakobo finished 6th in the 1600-meter run; the team of Demitrez Fails, Joshua Oliver, Jamarion Ford, and Eric Smith finished 6th in the 4 x 200 meter relay; and the team of Justin Hurst, Micheal Richmond, Joshua Oliver, and Ashton Berry finished 6th in the 4 x 100 meter relay.
