Welcome back to school. I am eager and excited to be working as the 11th and 12th grade counselor at Dunbar High School. This is my nineteenth year as an educator for Fort Worth ISD and fourteenth year as a professional school counselor. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree from Southern University A&M and received a Master's degree from Prairie View A&M.  My favorite things to do are traveling, reading, running, and spending time with my family. I believe that every student has the ability to achieve their goals and dreams if they are given the motivation and resources to do so. I will work hard this school year to ensure that our students are given every opportunity to be successful in their endeavors.

I am the proud Freshman counselor for the Class of 2025! I am also the counselor for students with last names N-Z in cohort 2024.  It is my pleasure to be able to serve these students for the duration of their high school experience. I grew up here locally in Fort Worth, earning both my Bachelor's in 4th-8th Language Arts and a Master's in School Counseling at Texas Wesleyan University in 2012. One of my biggest accomplishments was having the opportunity to study abroad in both London and Argentina! Before landing at Dunbar, I've had the privilege to teach for 8 years at Crowley Middle School, served in Keller ISD as both an elementary and middle school counselor for 4 years, before moving to FWISD serving two years as the school counselor at Monnig Middle School. This is my fifth year at Dunbar High School, and I am happy to be here.

In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my two boys, ages 24 and 13. I am a huge Cowboys' fan and spend most of my weekends at little league games. I absolutely love to travel and spend quality time with my family. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. My goal is to advocate and help your child reach their full potential. I can't possibly do this without your support. Wishing everyone a successful school year!
