JPS School Based Health Centers
-
The JPS Health Network is delighted to partner with the Fort Worth Independent School District to provide health services. These School-Based Health Centers are a place where children can receive certain health care services. Centers are a great way to keep children healthy by providing health care in a convenient location.
Our goal is to work with your child's school nurse to keep your child healthy. Good health is important for your child's learning. Our school-based centers are staffed by nurse practitioners or physician assistants. Nurse practitioners and physician assistants can do many of the things a doctor can do. They can do physicals, see your child when sick and write prescriptions.
Typical services include:
- Treatment for sore throats, colds
- Immunizations
- Assessment and treatment of minor injuries
- School physicals
- General physicals, such as checkups and Texas Health Steps
