Chief Master Sergeant Laura R. Lindsey

Aerospace Science Instructor

Chief Master Sergeant Laura R. Lindsey retired from the Air Force in October 2013 after serving 30 years of active duty.  She became an Aerospace Science Instructor at Western Hills High school in November 2013.  CMSgt Lindsey grew up in Detroit Michigan and entered the Air Force in May 1984.  Upon graduation from tech school, she was assigned to Hill AFB, UT where she worked as a personnel specialist.  After 18 months at Hill AFB, CMSgt Lindsey was assigned as a personnel specialist at Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan.  She later applied for recruiting duty and graduated with honors from recruiting school in Feb 1989.  Chief Lindsey spent 24 years in Air Force Recruiting in various positions including, nurse recruiting, military liaison, Standardization and training, enlisted accessions flight chief, senior trainer, operations flight chief, production superintendent, and superintendent.

While in recruiting, she was stationed in Joliet, IL, Chicago, IL, Shreveport, LA, Milwaukee, WI, Grand Rapids, MI, Riverside, CA, Sacramento, CA, Arlington, TX and Clinton Township, MI. 

She holds an Associate in Applied Science degree in Personnel Administration, Bachelor of Science Degree in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and a Master of Science in Health Science, Emergency Mgmt & Disaster Response from Trident University International. 

Chief Lindsey’s decorations include:
