District Employee Relations Council (DERC)
The District Employee Relations Council (DERC) is made up of two representatives from each school campus. By policy, one must be selected and one must be appointed by the Site-Based Decision Making (SBDM) team. As a DERC representative, you will listen to the concerns and opinions of your campus and carry them forward so they can be addressed by the District. A DERC representative is a conduit for communication between your campus, your SBDM team, and FWISD decision-makers.
