Hi there! My name is Miss. Lara, and I am thrilled to begin my journey as an educator at The Leadership Academy at Mitchell Boulevard.

I was born in Oceanside, California but moved to Cisco, Texas in 2005. I graduated from Tarleton State University with my k-5th interdisciplinary studies degree in December 2018. I first began working at this elementary back in January 2019 as a long-term sub. Now, I teach dual language 2nd grade and absolutely love it!

Once I moved to Fort Worth, I dragged along with me as many friends and family as I could. I live with my brother, Marko. He is my best friend. My older brother, Jessie, lives close enough to us to see him often. He is my anchor! My mother, who is the most hard-working and caring person I know, still still lives in Cisco with her loving husband, Manuel.

I love spending time with my friends and family. In my free time, I enjoy reading a book, writing, or going for a run.

As an educator, I hope to instill all the necessary values and skills children need to become independent, trustworthy, respectful, hard-working, and problem-solving individuals. Seeing my students graduate and become successful is my drive.

Mrs. Sullivan is in her 15th year of sculpting young minds.  Born and raised in Oklahoma, Mrs. Sullivan is a proud member of the Muscogee-Creek Nation.  After graduating from TCU on a basketball scholarship she moved to New York City where she lived for 13 years.  Mrs. Sullivan and her husband Mike moved to Ft. Worth 3 years ago with their dogs (Buddy and Beau Beaudreaux), cat (Bob) and fish (Zippy).  They are now closer to family and able to support and cheer on their alma mater the TCU Horned Frogs!  Mrs. Sullivan loves purple, everything TCU, all sports, reading, fishing, sleeping, Las Vegas, Costa Rica and of course her students!  Her favorite quote comes from Robert DeNiro in the movie A Bronx Tale, "The saddest thing in life is wasted talent".
