Marjorie Garay

Mrs. Garay is a dual-language third and fourth-grade literacy teacher. She began her career with Fort Worth ISD as a teacher candidate with the Tech Teach Program. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Bilingual Emphasis from Texas Tech University. This is her fourth year at the Leadership Academy at Mitchell Boulevard, and she loves being part of a magical place, where teachers, scholars, and staff become family.

She is currently working on her Masters in Educational Leadership concentrating in dual language and literacy acquisition with Texas A&M.

Mrs. Garay is passionate about teaching and helping scholars reach their full potential.

She is a firm believer that recognizing the story of each student and knowing that a child's academic environment can be affected by home life and adult/peer relationships. It is necessary to understand all aspects in order to assist in a scholar's growth.

She has been happily married for eleven years and is blessed with a set of amazing twins and a teenage artist. In her spare time, she enjoys entertaining her family and friends, reading, jogging, and especially participating in hot yoga.
