I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor degree in Spanish and this is my third year teaching. I'm very passionate about making learning fun and engaging for students, specially with more complex subjects like Math. I want to encourage students to be in charge of their learning and allow mistakes to become opportunities as part of their learning process. I spend my spare time with my husband and my two kids as well as the rest of my family and friends.

This is my first year teaching at Cesar Chavez Elementary and my 17th year as an educator. Throughout my years, I have taught grades 2nd and 3rd. I grew up in Shoreview, MN (land of 10,000lakes J) and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Concordia College. I have been married to my husband, Mario for 16 years. Together, we have 5 children that range in ages from 6 to 27. In my spare time you will find me spending time with family and friends or volunteering at church. I have a huge heart and passion for teaching reading and writing and am very excited to see the growth my students will achieve this year at Cesar Chavez Elementary.
I have the privilege of being a FWISD educator for the past 4 years. I'm originally from California and graduated from UCLA. As a bilingual teacher, I want students to become empowered global citizens. My desire is to ignite in each student the love of reading, acquire knowledge, and develop life-long learning skills. In my spare time I enjoy playing the drums, learning new languages, and traveling.
