ROAR Success Criteria: I expect students to give and try their best each day. They should come prepared and with their folder, which parents should be checking everyday. Students should participate during lessons and put forth their best effort every day. They should respect each other but also take responsibility for their actions so we can learn from them. Lastly, students should help me, the teacher, keep them safe by following classroom and school rules and procedures.
Biography: My name is Guadalupe Salas and this is my second-year teaching Pre-k at Natha Howell but I’ve had experience with all grade levels, even high school. I am originally from Monett, Missouri but my heart belongs in Zacatecas, Mexico. I have lived in Texas for ten years now, but I am hoping to move and try other states in a couple years. In my free time I like to dance, read and try new food. I believe that all children deserve to have the same opportunities and access to good quality education. As a child I remember my teachers always made learning fun and that is what I expect do for my students. I hope to instill in them a love for learning and reading and that this stays with them as they grow so that they can reach their full potential.
