District Support Initiatives (DSI) & Accountability

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) accountability system provides families a snapshot of school performance. This page brings together our latest accountability results and references to Fort Worth ISD’s improvement efforts. These efforts include our District Support Initiatives, which encompass Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE), the Leadership Academy Network (LAN) (SB 1882 partnership), and Additional Days School Year (ADSY) campuses.

Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE)

ACE is a TEA-recommended intervention for campuses with prior low performance. It aligns to FWISD’s improvement strategy: strong staffing, high-quality instructional materials (HQIM), evidence-based teaching, and structured support for students and staff. All ACE campuses also operate within the Additional Days School Year (ADSY) calendar to extend learning time where needed.

ACE schools include Western Hills ES / Western Hills Primary, Clifford Davis ES, Eastern Hills ES / West Handley (consolidated), William James MS, Morningside MS, and Wedgwood MS.

Leadership Academy Network (LAN)

LAN is an SB 1882 partnership with Texas Wesleyan University. These are FWISD schools — our students, our teachers — benefiting from an expanded governance model focused on accelerated academics and leadership development.

Additional Days School Year (ADSY)

ADSY extends the school year to provide more instructional time and family engagement opportunities on campuses. See calendars, showcase days, and FAQs on the ADSY site.

TEA issued final 2023 ratings on August 19, 2025 after a statewide delay; those remain the most current finalized ratings.

F-rated schools dropped by 65%
A-rated schools increased by 70%
63 schools increased a letter grade or maintained an A
53 schools increased by one or more letter grades

Understanding A - F Accountability Ratings

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) Accountability Rating provides families with a snapshot of how their school is performing in areas like student achievement, school progress, and closing learning gaps.
