Across the district, Fort Worth ISD celebrated Music in Our Schools Month during March. The monthlong appreciation honors the lasting impact of music in schools.

Fort Worth ISD students were part of a special surprise to celebrate music, a mariachi flash mob!  

Mariachi students from several campuses gathered with the mariachi program at Texas Wesleyan University for an unforgettable performance. The flash mob in the university courtyard filled the campus with cultural music.

By participating in the flash mob, Fort Worth ISD students also had an opportunity to see they can continue to pursue their musical passions in college and meet older musicians.

This performance was a reminder of how music programs bring students together, build confidence, and keep traditions alive in sometimes in the most unexpected ways.
