Weather Update for February 19

Dear Fort Worth ISD Families,

We understand that many are wondering about school operations for Wednesday, February 19 and we appreciate your patience as we continue to monitor weather conditions.

After consulting with the National Weather Service and monitoring precipitation, we are proceeding with regular hours for both schools and offices tomorrow. As a result, schools will operate on a regular schedule, and classes will begin on time.

However, please note that temperatures will be quite cold in the morning. We encourage you to ensure that students are dressed in layers to stay warm during arrival and throughout the day.

Campus Preparedness:
Our schools are taking all necessary precautions to ensure heating systems are operational and that buildings are ready to welcome students in freezing conditions.

Student Safety:
Staff will be available to provide early access to buildings and monitor students who arrive before the regular start time.

Stay Informed:
Please continue to monitor the district website, news outlets, and our social media channels for any updates regarding potential delays or closures. We will keep you informed if weather conditions change, and if any adjustments to district operations are needed.

Actualización del Clima para 19 de Febrero

Queridas familias de Fort Worth ISD,

Entendemos que muchos se preguntan sobre las operaciones escolares de mañana y agradecemos su paciencia mientras seguimos monitoreando las condiciones climáticas.

Después de consultar con el Servicio Meteorológico Nacional y monitorear la precipitación, procederemos con el horario regular para las escuelas y oficinas mañana. Como resultado, las clases comenzarán a su hora habitual.

Sin embargo, las temperaturas serán muy frías por la mañana. Les recomendamos vestir a los estudiantes en capas para que se mantengan abrigados durante la llegada y a lo largo del día.

Preparación en las Escuelas:
Nuestras escuelas están tomando todas las precauciones necesarias para garantizar que los sistemas de calefacción funcionen adecuadamente y que los edificios estén listos para recibir a los estudiantes en condiciones de frío extremo.
