Fort Worth Independent School District

March is Women’s History Month, and the Fort Worth ISD is joining the nation in celebrating the impact of women and girls in American history.
Throughout March, the District will share images and content celebrating women and girls here and on FWISD social media platforms.
First observed as a weeklong celebration, the United States expanded its celebration honoring American women to a month long observance in the late 1980s. The observance coincides with International Women’s Day, which is being celebrated this year on Friday, March 8.
