Retirement Information
As a Fort Worth ISD employee your retirement benefits are through the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), a public pension plan of the State of Texas. Your membership begins on your first day of eligible employment with Fort Worth ISD. Retirement plan membership offers you service retirement benefits when you qualify based on age and years of service credit.
This Retirement Information page serves as a resource for FWISD employees to learn about their retirement benefits and planning options. It provides easy access to details about the Teacher Retirement System (TRS).
Employees can find tools like retirement calculators, educational materials, videos and TRS contact information to help you make informed decisions about your future.
