Dual Credit Program
In partnership with Tarrant County College (TCC), FWISD offers eligible high school students the chance to take college-level courses that count for both high school and college credit.
Key Features:
- Courses taught by TCC faculty
- Earn college and high school credit simultaneously
- Available to students who meet TSI eligibility
- Courses may be taken on TCC campuses or high school campuses
Requirements:
- Meet TSI (Texas Success Initiative) standards
- Bacterial meningitis vaccination (for on-campus TCC classes)
- Maintain a grade of C or higher to remain eligible

Early College High School (ECHS)
ECHS programs are designed to help students graduate with up to 60 credit hours of transferable college credit or an associate degree, tuition-free.
Designated ECHS Campuses:
- Marine Creek Collegiate High School (stand-alone model)
- Texas Academy of Biomedical Sciences (stand-alone model)
- O.D. Wyatt Collegiate Academy (school-within-a-school model)
- South West High School Collegiate Academy (school-within-a-school model)
- Western Hills High School (school-within-a-school model)

PTECH programs are designed to help students graduate with a Level 1 industry-focused certificate, transferrable college credit hours, and career-focused, work-based learning through partnerships with local industries.
