District Employee Relations Council (DERC)
The Fort Worth ISD District Employee Relations Council (DERC) exists to champion open, two-way communication between the Superintendent and District personnel by providing a structured, representative, and collaborative advisory forum.
How it works
The District Employee Relations Council (DERC) includes two representatives from each school campus—one selected from the campus leadership team and one appointed by the principal [See DGB(LOCAL)].
DERC representatives serve as a bridge between school staff and district leadership. They gather feedback, concerns, and ideas from their campus and help ensure those voices are heard and addressed at the district level.
