Discover the Course Planner tool in SchooLinks
Parents already use Parent Portal to stay connected with attendance, grades, and registration. You can also explore the Course Planner tool in SchooLinks — available in the Parent Portal alerts section or directly at schoolinks.com.
This tool gives you greater visibility into your student’s middle or high school personalized-course plan. You can review it, sign it digitally, and even download copies for your records.
Why This Matters
FWISD counselors work closely with every student to provide a personalized path for success. With the Course Planner tool, parents and guardians can see that work in action — supporting academic, career, and college readiness goals.
What’s a Personalized Course Plan?
It’s essentially your student’s roadmap to graduation and beyond. A personalized course plan:
- Lays out the classes your student will take in middle or high school.
- Ensures graduation requirements are met.
- Helps students explore career pathways, college readiness, and scholarships.
- Is reviewed annually with a counselor.
Your Role in the Process
Students collaborate with counselors to create realistic, goal-driven plans.
- Parents/Guardians are encouraged to review, sign (January 2026), and stay engaged with those plans and send feedback to counselors within the tool.
- Your visibility, feedback, and support make a real difference in keeping students on track.
Digital signatures will be requested by January 2026, but you can get familiar with the process now.
