Frequently Asked Questions

Canvas courses are created via the sync with Focus.  All students enrolled in a teacher's class in Focus are automatically enrolled in the corresponding Canvas course.  There is no need for an enrollment link, code, etc.  Students will need to access Canvas via the FWISD ClassLink Portal, and they will find their courses on their Canvas dashboard.

If you are having problems with your device, hotspot, or District account, your first contact should be your home campus.  Each campus has personnel that can help you with minor issues, and they can provide information to escalate the problem if needed.  You can also view our self-help resources found on this page: Scroll down to the section title: Support for Learning Tools: Quick Reference Guides and Videos. Click on the topic to view the support materials.

Google Classroom generates a unique code for each Google Classroom. Students and families receive the code through FWISD student email, Blackboard ParentLink, or their teacher. Inside of the Google Classroom app, click on the plus sign in the upper right corner, select join class, and insert the code.

Canvas, Google Classroom, and Seesaw (Pre-K) are accessible through a web browser or mobile app (iOS and Android). The learning platforms work on laptops, Chromebooks, tablets, and mobile devices.

Students should go through ClassLink to access each platform.  Please view the resources for accessing ClassLink: or go to, and log in with your student username and password.
